If you violate any of these rules once, you will be given a warning. If you violate any rule a second time, you will be banned from the site for a limited time. If you violate any for a third time, you will be removed from the site. Please report any violation of the rules to an admin.
The Rules
I know they look really long and boring, but when aren't they? Each rule has a defined explanation. SO please make sure to really all the way through. Thank you.
OOC Rules:
1. Be active. Try to come on at least a few times a week. It won't be fun if nobody is ever on!! If you are innactive for more than a month without notice, your account will be deleted and your character will go up for adoption.
2. Be literate. The post limit is a minimum of 200 words per post. It's really not that hard. This is an intermediate level roleplay. Make sure you're at this level of roleplaying before you commit. The only exception of the word limit is if you are leaving or ending a thread.
3. Be respectful. Please be respectful of other members in the C-Box, in PMs, and anywhere else. This means no prejudice comments or remarks. This also means nothing inappropriate. Let's keep this PG-13 guys.
4. Don't spam. Nobody likes to be spammed! Do not spam in the c-box, the PM's, or in boards. You will be banned for a short time.
5. Accepted. Until you're accepted... The only place you can post is in the character claim, and you must post there in order to be accepted. The other place you may post is in the introduction thread. It won't take long for you to be accepted, so don't worry.
ICC Rules:
1. Only one character per account. If you want to make more than one... Just make sure they are in separate accounts. Please make your username your actual first name, or web name. We like to who the person is behind the character.
2. Put up pictures of your character. It's most preferred to have a picture of your character in both your avatar and signature. This makes it easier for peoples to know what your character looks like.
3. No godmodding. These characters aren't perfect or invincible! Make sure you have weaknesses! Of course, magic is allowed, but not to the extent that they can just do whatever they please.
4. No power-playing. You control only yourself. If you take over another person's character, make sure you have permission. You may use NPCs(Not Played Characters) if you would like.
5. You can only be in one thread at a time. This means either one you started or one you joined. Make sure you make a good choice, and it is a thread you would be The exceptions to this rule are important events. Important events will only be started by staff and will have [event] by the title. You may be in all of the events currently active along with your one thread.
6. If your character is in a thread and they go to a different thread, end that thread and start a new one in the correct board. This makes it less confusing if somebody wants to join the post, because they already know where and when it's taking place.
7. Becoming tired of your character If you grow tired of your character and want to replace them, you must go to the adoption center thread in the characters board. The rules for that are listed there.
8. The character limit is four characters per member. You may only have one Princess, one Prince, one Villain, and one sidekick. It is unfair to have two or more of the same type of character.
9. Taken Characters Do not make a character that has already been claimed. Your account will be banned immediately if the character has already been made. Simple as that.
10. Notes. Anything that you need to say OOC in a thread about your post must be at the end of your post like this.
Notes:
11. Directed to. If you start a role play thread, put in brackets WHO you want to reply to it. Ex: [any princess], [anyone], [Rapunzel], [anyone from Tangled], ect, ect. If you don't do this, you can't get mad about people posting in your thread that you didn't want.
12. Speech. When your character talks, use the code [b*]"Whatever the character says here."[/b*] and delete the stars*. This makes it clean and easier to spot where the character speaks.
13. POV. 1st or 3rd person is okay... But if you reply to a thread someone has already started, have manners, and reply in the same person they did.
14. Tenses. Past or Present tense is fine, but same thing applies as above^
15. Crudeness. You may be crude (anything that would be in a PG-13 movie) But no graphic images are permitted.
Code Word If you read all of the rules you will be asked for a code word in your character application. The code word is majesty.
